The Woodstock Acres Horsemanship camp program combines qualified staff, experienced horses, and excellent facilities to create an atmosphere where campers can advance their horseback riding skills, expand their horsemanship knowledge, and enjoy riding with friends.
Safety is the foundation for our program. Riders and horses are watched very carefully to avoid dangerous riding situations or mismatched horse/rider combinations. Woodstock Acres is a learning environment. Our equestrian staff is qualified to teach a wide range of riders. Daily lessons teach balance and control of the horse. Young beginners play mounted games and get to learn all about their favorite horses, while others may learn to post the trot, or canter or jump.
Our day camp will consist of riding two times daily, ground lessons on horse topics such as grooming, horse anatomy, care and health. Campers will enjoy lunch by the pond and fun on our large blow-up water slide! Days are filled with horse activities geared towards developing the knowledgeable horseman.
